We are excited to announce Aula will be joining us as Digital District partner for this year’s festival along with giving a talk in our digital hub.
Aula is a communication platform designed to engage students at universities. It replaces the current software used in higher education (tired student portals and online folders) with a platform designed to function much more like the apps students and academics are used to in their life outside education (e.g. WhatsApp).
Adrian Franklin, CPO and co-founder of Aula said:
“Design is core to our product and it is something we think about a lot. Birmingham also has special meaning for us as Birmingham City University is one of our partner institutions. We’re excited to contribute to the festival programme with a session on product design.
Academics and students at BCU have supported us in defining Aula’s design principles to enable social learning. We believe that by participating in the Birmingham Design Festival, we can share some of this insight to be a positive force in Higher Education, as well as engage with initiatives that contribute to the local economy and education.”
