We are delighted to announce that Awesome Merch will return as main partner for BDF2019.
Awesome Merch makes custom merchandise and print for all kinds of people, producing almost everything in-house, and shipping all over the world. With two locations across two continents (Leeds, UK and Austin, TX, US), they’ve created more than 80 million custom items since their inception in 2005. Born from the DIY music scene, they’ve grown to now work with some of the best independent labels and international artists.
As main sponsors for last year’s festival, Awesome Merchandise threw themselves into helping make BDF as awesome as possible – from hosting multiple workshops at ROPE Press and free to attend live-screen printing demo’s, to filming Aaron Draplin talking about his love of merch, to introducing our evening speakers at the Conservatoire!
All our attendees went home with awesome merch thanks to Awesome Merchandise, and volunteers were highly visible in their BDF t-shirts, lanyards, and badges.
Director Charlotte Hodson says,
“Awesome Merch began in Leeds, but its founders hail from Birmingham originally, so the city has a fond place at the heart of Awesome. We love supporting and encouraging grassroots music, art, and design as those are our (and many of our first employees) roots, so working with Birmingham Design Festival felt the perfect fit for us. The festival last year was a resounding success, and our team loved being involved – thanks to the BDF team for having us back for round two!”
