Friday Festival Update – Speakers, Tickets, Volunteering
Happy Friday everyone. It’s been a busy week and a half since our bumper speaker announcement so we wanted to fill in some gaps where we’ve quietly slotted in speakers and answer a few questions.
Happy Friday everyone. It’s been a busy week and a half since our bumper speaker announcement so we wanted to fill in some gaps where we’ve quietly slotted in speakers and answer a few questions.
How much are tickets and where are they on sale?
We’re hoping to have the full programme, dates times, venues etc. listed on the website at the start of April, with tickets on sale shortly after. We’re keeping prices pretty close to our chest, simply because we think you’ll be blown away by them and that they deserve a little fanfare.
Where is the festival happening?
Across Birmingham City Centre, Digbeth and the historic Jewellery Quarter. We’ve got around 10 venues, all within walking distance of each other. If you know about our Design Districts (Graphic, Digital, Product), you’ll know that we’ve collected similar disciplines together into hubs so that similar events are close by. In any case, the longest travel time between venues will be 15 minutes, and we’ve scheduled accordingly.
Volunteering at the festival
We’ve had lots of you subscribe for updates via email about volunteering. We’ll be making this more formal in the next couple of weeks, with a form to apply to be a volunteer.
We’ve added more speakers
There’s some great new speakers added to the list since last Wednesday. Here’s a list of additional folks who’ll be joining us:
Trevor Beattie – Advertising Legend
Basak Haznedaroglu – Design Director InVision
Rejane Dal Bello – Studio Rejane Dal Bello
Tom Muller – hellomuller
Senan Lee & Pansy Aung – Salt & Pepper Creative
Sam Munnings – Senior Motion Designer, CG Artist & Animator at Territory Studio
Dave Sedgwick – StudioDBD Founder
Kuchar Swara – Telegraph Design Director
We’ll be continuing to add to the list, so keep your eyes peeled.
You can now donate to the festival
Anything you can give will be greatly appreciated, and help with the running costs of this year’s festival and beyond.
